reaction injection moulding requirements and definitions

Reaction injection molding (reaction injection moulding referred RIM), an industrial molding process. Forming chemical reaction in the process of an injection molding method, which is not a polymer of the raw materials used, but two or more kinds of the liquid monomer or prepolymer, a certain percentage are added separately to the mixing head, the mixing under pressure, and immediately injected into the closed mold, the polymerization and curing in the mold, shaped into a product. Because the liquid  MASTER auto moulding feedstock is used, i.e. with a small pressure to quickly fill the mold cavity, so reducing the cost of the mold clamping force and, in particular, for the production of large-area workpieces.
Reaction injection MASTER plastic injection mould  molding requires the components have been mixed, immediately rapid response, and the material can be cured to the extent of stripping. Therefore, the use of special materials and formulations, articles may need to be heat treated to improve its performance. Molding equipment is critical mixing head design, accurate measurement and delivery of components. In addition, the raw material tank and the mold temperature control is also very important.
